Making a plant cage to protect them from deer and rabbits!

Here in the country I have problems with deer, raccoon and rabbits eating on my plants. Some have nearly died before I thought up an easy and inexpensive way of keeping the local wild life away from my plants. Here's a step by step instruction on how to build a cage for your plants that works wonderfully for keeping the local wildlife away.First, you'll need to buy what we call "horse wire" . It can be found at your local lowes or home depot store and cost about $35.00 for a 50 foot roll.1)
Roll out your wire flat on the ground.

Next make the cage large enough to fit around your plant.

You may need to tie your plant up before putting the cage over it.PhotobucketPhotobucket6) Clip strings holding plant in.PhotobucketThat's all there is to it. If you live in the city, and this appears unsightly to you, you can buy green spray paint and paint the wire before placing it over the plant. I have a friend that's taken my suggestion for the cages a step farther and hangs suncatchers and wind chimes on her's.
